Friendly Skies? Not So Much…
Traveling can always be a pain. But for me it’s more so. I am tired of not being able to go to the bathroom, having to hold it until landing. Add to the anxiety of losing control of my bladder to the fact that I never know if my chair will return in one piece. How many screws are missing this time? What part of my chair will be out of whack?
As a frequent flyer with a disability, I should be able to expect basic levels of comfort and safety from my air carrier. Sadly, because of my disability, such an expectation(s) is/are often out of reach. That is why general standards and regulations are needed to allow all people fair and decent access to air travel.
